24 Hours of Legal Resistance: Continuation of the Antimonopoly Marathon of the National Trade Union of Jurists

The article provides an overview of the results of the continuation of the 24-hour «antimonopoly marathon » held by the National Union of Lawyers on August 23-24, 2025. The marathon was dedicated to the public discussion of the draft law of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, known as the «project on the introduction of a lawyer’s monopoly».The review provides a detailed analysis of the speeches of key speakers – well-known lawyers, lawyers and public figures. The main areas of criticism of the draft law are highlighted: its contradiction to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the inconsistency of official argumentation, the establishment of total state control over the legal profession and a deep systemic crisis within the legal profession itself. The conclusion contains consolidated conclusions and suggestions of the participants.
