A. I. Solzhenitsyn about a person in the totalitarian society

Based on the works of A.I. Solzhenitsyn the article analyses the phenomenon of the left totalitarianism during the Stalin era, the place of a common person in it, their relationship with the all-encompassing state, the destruction of individual freedoms. The author applies the works of Solzhenitsyn, current assessment of his research by Russian and foreign political scientists, historians, and others as the study sources.
