Over the past decade, there has been a rapid increase in the number and prevalence of new psychoactive substances (NPS). The leading positions of incidence occupy pyrovalerone derivatives including 3,4-MDPV, a-PVP, a-PBP, a-PPP, a-PHP, a-PHPP, a-POP, and substituted analogues of these substances, forming the class cathinone design having maximum expressed psycho-stimulant properties. Because of the high addictive potential, and to render harm to health, the nonionic surfactant class that deserves special attention of the professional community. In this review, we focused on the most common representatives of this class, their mechanisms of action, pharmacological activity, the main metabolic pathways.
