A. S. Homyakov - the teacher and the preacher (on material of letters)

The article is devoted to studying the didactic (uchitelny) intention in A. S. Homyakov’s epistolyariya. The ideologist of Slavophilism in the 1840-1850th, Homyakov preferred the tradition of a sermon to the tradition of a confessionary friendly letter popular in the first third of the 19th century. Oriented on the evangelical tradition, the sermon in Homyakov’s letters aims not only at Christian virtues, but also at Slavophils’ activity.
