A. Stifter and A. Droste-Hulshoff: comparative characteristic of the German and Austrian literary Biedermeier

The problem of differentiation between Austrian and German literature in modern literary criticism is still very important. The author attempts to compare literary Biedermeier using the works of Adalbert Stifter and A. Droste-Hulshoff. The author pays special attention to the imagological functions of the landscape within the framework of the authors under consideration.
