The paper studies abortion dynamics in the Krasnodar Territory in 1945-1950. The various government measures aimed to reduce the number of abortions, including criminal ones, are analyzed. The author provides statistical data demonstrating the number of the clandestine surgeries in the period under investigation. Many materials from the central and regional archives are published for the first time.
