The article is devoted to the problem of usage of information technologies in teaching foreign languages. The author considers theoretical approaches to teaching by means of new information technologies. The teaching paradigms are presented in detail. The role of the internet in the educational environment is specified. The influence of the internet technology on the process of foreign language teaching is presented.
