Adaptation to labor changes in social service organizations under COVID-19: results of a sociological survey

In modern society, labor in many sectors of the national economy is affected by serious transformations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is particularly evident in the social sphere, where a substantial amount of work is based on interaction with large numbers of people burdened with problems. At the same time, the new - 14 -coronavirus infection is transmitted precisely through direct communication, which imposes serious restrictions on the process of interaction between industry employees and their wards and creates additional workload for specialists. The survey conducted in 2022 revealed the attitude of employees of social service organizations to changes in the degree and content of their employment in a pandemic; the main difficulties faced by specialists of the social sector are outlined; their views on the possibilities of adaptation to the new and more complicated conditions of professional activity are determined. Besides, the measures suggested by the respondents to reduce occupational risks and prevent emotional burn-out are outlined.
