Adaptation of the principles of Buddhist economy in the Republic of Buryatia: first results

The global problems of humanity arising in the Western economic system are caused by the opposition between human activity and nature, discrepancy or incompatibility of human material needs and capabilities of the surrounding world. In this regard, it is relevant to consider the experience of the Eastern Buddhist economy based on rational management, non-violence against nature and regenerative mechanisms. The article presents the experience of the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia, which is implementing a model of the Eastern Buddhist economy in the Republic of Buryatia. The model is based on the principles of traditional economy of the Buryat people, harmonious with the laws of nature, socially oriented economic activity, provision of the population with high-quality genuine goods. Thanks to this, the Republic of Buryatia can become a model territory for sustainable civilizational development of a global scale.
