The article considers the possibility of adapting foreign technologies to build a personnel management system into Russian practice. The purpose of the article is to study the successful experience of foreign countries in the field of effective technologies for building a personnel management system and forming recommendations for their adaptation in domestic companies. We used the methods of comparative analysis and retrospection. Analyzed key management schools - Japanese and American. Designated elements of building a personnel management system in Japanese and American organizations that are expedient and possible to integrate into the activities of Russian companies.
