Adaptive strategy of ground beetles (Coleoptera, Carabidae) in altitudinal gradient of Barguzin ridge (Northern Pribaikalye)

On the example of ground beetles family the main components of adaptation ways to the continental climate of Northern Pribaikalye are considered. For ground beetles of Barguzin Ridge the passive way of adaptation is most effective, while the active way, because of the raised power expenses, is more subject to adverse factors of the environment.
