The stress-protective and antioxidant effect of the extract of dry cacalia and panceria was investigated in experiments on white rats of the Wistar line. The stressinduced state was modeled by 24-hour immobilization of animals. The stressrotective effect of the extracts was assessed by the severity of the Selje triad (adrenal hypertrophy, involution of the thymus and spleen, the presence of destruction in the gastric mucosa); antioxidant activity - by content of MDA and catalase activity in blood serum, SOD level in erythrocytes, as well as concentration of reduced glutathione in blood. It has been found that the extract exerts a pronounced stress-protective effect by preventing adrenal hypertrophy, the involution of the thymus and spleen, as well as limiting the development of ulcerative lesions in the gastric mucosa induced by immobilization stress.
