The article presents an analysis of the administrative and legal status of a civil servant in the judicial system. The specifics of the legal status of a judicial officer, his powers, rights and obligations are determined. It is noted that the judicial service can be defined as an independent branch of the civil service, which is due to the special status of judicial officers.
