The article analyses administrative legal prohibitions in the system of public service of the Russian Federation. It is emphasized that in the current legislation there is no sufficiently clear regulation of the liability for failure to fulfill any requirement by a public servant. The author presents original definitions of the concepts of "legal prohibition in the sphere of public power", "prohibition in the system of public service".
