Administrative delight: emotional aspect of administrative discourse

The purpose of this article is to analyze the emotional component of the administrative discourse, on the example of negative linguistic emotion - administrative delight. Administrative delight is the psychological state and the linguistic negative emotion in the context of the administrative discourse. The analysis of verbal behavior of managers (based on short stories and novels by Russian writers) allows identifying and organizing the linguistic techniques for the expression of the emotion and behavior peculiarities of the person experiencing the administrative delight. The article concludes that the administrative discourse, like any other discourse, is not devoid of expression, administrative delight is expressed at the background or together with other emotions such as anger, resentment, pleasure, etc. It is also concluded on the necessity to study the emotive category within this type of discourse as administrative language knowledge and the ability to manage emotions within this discourse directly affect the relationship “superior-subordinate”. The findings may also be useful in the field of psychology of management.
