Adrenergic and serotoninergic activity of a new antimigraine compound

We studied adrenergic and serotoninergic properties of the 9-diethylaminoethyl-2-(4-iriethoxyphenyl)iiTiidazo[1,2-a]benzimidazole molecule. The compound has been shown to exhibit potent serotonin-blocking activity in the isolated rat uterus and in the 5-HTP-hyperkinesis test. In vitro and in vivo studies have shown that the compound has weak adreno-blocking activity.
