Advocate’s investigation

The article is devoted to the Institute of legal investigation. Based on previously conducted research in this area, the author analyzes the content of the constitutional and legal principle of competition, conducts a brief comparative legal study of the scope of powers of the parties in criminal proceedings (the defense and the prosecution), provides the legal positions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation in this area, analyzes various doctrinal and legal definitions of the lawyer's investigation, as well as legal and factual actions that a lawyer has the right to perform when conducting an attorney's investigation.
