Legal profession in the Republic of Korea: history of formation, obtaining the status of lawyer

The article examines the formation of the legal profession in South Korea. The authors describe the history of the formation of the institute and the legal basis for the activities of lawyers. The issue of obtaining the status of a lawyer is discussed in detail. The procedure for admitting foreign legal consultants to Korea is examined. In conclusion, it is concluded that the legal profession system in Korea is a unique combination of traditional Korean and Western legal principles. It is distinguished by high professionalism and the ability of lawyers to represent clients' interests at a high level. It is important to note that the system has strict quality control of services, which ensures reliable protection of customer rights.
