The African Court of Human and Peoples Rights: towards a mixed multi-institutional model of overview of its judgments

This article examines the issues of the execution of the rulings of the African Court, noting the role of the mechanism established by the African Union to monitor the execution of these rulings. The effectiveness of the implementation of this supervision by the Executive Board is analyzed. The author distinguishes between the model of the political mechanism of supervision and the model of judicial supervision. The focus is on chapter six of the new Rules of the African Court.
