The article considers the pessimistic position concerning cognoscibility of the phenomenon of consciousness, which essence becomes available only in the immanent sphere of the consciousness itself. The impossibility of studying the mind is proved by the objective methods of science. The author analyses the difference of the physical and mental through the reality in external and internal feeling, and shows that this point of view logically leads to the position of subjective idealism. The demarcation line between mind and thinking is drawn. The author raises a question of a possibility of thinking about consciousness and answers negatively in connection with the temporal structure of the mind. The author criticises the agnostic point of view on the basis of the semantic components of the mind. The article emphasises the need for reformation of the scientific knowledge in order to include mental experience into the subject sphere of science.
