Agromarketing as a tool for promoting agriculture in the Republic of Kalmykia

The article discusses the theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of agromarketing in agricultural organizations. The distinctive features of agromarketing are formulated due to the high dependence of the industry on the influence of natural factors, the significant role of agricultural products for consumers, the presence of various forms of ownership of business entities, the discrepancy between the duration of labor and production cycles, the seasonality of agricultural activities, the implementation of foreign economic activity, a special support system for government agencies in the development of agricultural sectors. The list of tasks solved by the marketing department in agricultural organizations is systematized. It is proved that the effective and successful functioning of the agricultural sector should be accompanied by the improvement of agromarketing activities. The authors analyzed the state, unique characteristics, level of potential and prospects for the development of agriculture in the Republic of Kalmykia, identified the possibilities of using agromarketing tools in agriculture in the region. The authors pay special attention to the relevance of branding agricultural products in the region, which allows businesses to fully use their own competitive advantages and, accordingly, occupy a leading position in the agricultural sector. A positive trend in increasing the attractiveness of the agricultural sector for society in the republic is the creation of agroclasses in schools in the region, focused on teaching students the basics of the agro-industrial complex.
