Agrifood system of the region: essence, structure and social and economic significance

The most important social and economic function of any state is the organization of a full-fledged food supply to the population by organizing and supporting the development of agrifood systems in the regions. The state and level of development of these systems depend on the parameters of physical and economic accessibility of food in a particular region, and hence ensuring food security throughout the country. Therefore, research is needed aimed at studying the essence and structure of the agrifood system. The article considers the agrifood system of the region as an institutional and cyclically functional social and economic structure. A description of the functions of each link of this system is given, indicated from the relationship.
