Agvan Dorzhiev: a step toward a Buryats' national autonomy (on the issue of life reflection, internet activity and social network)

The article considers the historical events associated with the name of one of the most prominent representatives of the Buryat people at the turn of the century, the Buddhist hierarch, Tsannid Khambo Agvan Dorzhiev. The reflection of life and activity in the Internet space and in the social network, where the participation at the Congress of the peoples of the East is particularly noted as a step toward the formation of the national- cultural autonomy of the Buryats at the beginning of the XX century, are examined too. The author of the article makes actual the information in the internet space, including social networks, related to the name of the Buddhist hierarch - Tsannid Khambo Agvan Dorzhiev. In 2023, the Republic of Buryatia turns 100 years old. In this regard, materials on the activities of prominent figures of the republic are published in the mass media. The author quite rightly notes that the biography and socio-political life of Agvan Dorzhiev have been studied by professional researchers at various times. Today, publications about the Buddhist hierarch’s work are posted on special websites related to education, politics, and other topics, which arouse public interest.
