Academic biography of I.P. Glinskaya (1909–1997) in the context of cultural history

The range of biographical studies occupies a serious place in modern humanities. A separate group consists of the so-called academic biographies, which make it possible to present the history of fundamental and applied knowledge in person. In the history of Russian art studies and art pedagogy, the role of Irina Pavlovna Glinskaya (1909-1997), whose academic biography is of independent interest, is still underestimated, and at the same time is an illustrative example of the trajectories of the development of art science and teaching methods during the Soviet period. Studying the works of I.P. Glinskaya, which relate to various fields of the study of artistic culture, will make it possible to fill in a number of gaps in the history of Russian science, however, the first step is a thorough study of the key stages of the academic fate of the scientist based on the preserved archival materials presented in the proposed article.
