Academy of sciences and the education of heirs to the throne in Russia in the 18th century

The creation and development of an educational model for future Russian emperors deserve special attention. The article describes the role of the Academy of Sciences in the education of the heirs to the Russian throne and addresses the subject of the elaboration of syllabi and teaching techniques. As an example, the author of the paper takes the education of the future emperor Peter II: the first Crown Prince, for whom teachers developed an educational plan and compiled special textbooks.
