Axiological foundations of the egalitarian model of family relations

The article examines and groups the characteristics of the egalitarian model of family relations, which is gaining more and more research interest in the light of the growing influence of gender-egalitarian values on the way of life of modern society. The aim of the article is to identify the most significant axiological foundations of the model of marriage under consideration. The object is the egalitarian model of family life. As a result of achieving the goal, it is possible to present the interpretations to the understanding of family egalitarianism highlighted by various domestic authors, to group and consistently present disparate ideas about it, to determine the value bases of an egalitarian family. Scientific novelty consists in the generalization of knowledge and ideas about the egalitarian family, thanks to which the list of characteristics is specified, where the categories of justice, free will, mutual respect are designated as its fundamental foundation; and the definition itself is specified, which eliminates the possibility of terminological confusion.
