This paper makes an attempt to examine empirically the interrelation between the voter turnout of citizens and such social factors as financial status, social mood of voters and political competition at elections. As a material for the analysis we used the results of the sociological researches and statistical data around Krasnoyarsk and the Krasnoyarsk Territory from 1996 to 2011.
