Activity of pheromone in dispensers of the different models for trapping of male butterflies of pod (acacia) borer

Expanding of sowing areas under soybean demands an effective protection of the crop against the pests. One of the most dangerous pests for soybean is pod (acacia) borer (Etiella zinckenella Tr.). At population boom this butterfly can impair sowings reducing the yield up to 50-80%. Usage of pheromone traps is a solution, steady and relevant for agricultural producers, which allows controlling pest appearance and its population. It is necessary to determine periods of the mass flying of butterflies and its intensiveness to establish dates and necessity of protection actions against larvae of pod borer on soybean. With this purpose we conducted an experiment on sowings of soybean cultivars Chara and Olimpiya in 20172018. We studied activity of pheromones for pod (acacia) borer in the dispensers of different models that were given by a company “Schyolkovo Agrokhim”.
