Activity of trade unions in Russia and abroad

This article discusses the methods of trade unions influence on achieving their goals. It analyses the effectiveness of the trade unions as an institution of civil society in protecting the interests of workers. The results show that at this stage the trade unions are in crisis and unable to cope with one of the main functions - to protect their members. After Russia felt the effects of the sanctions, the employees of many businesses faced with difficulties and violation of their rights by the companies'' management. In this regard, it''s obvious that the labor collectives need for a legitimate and independent intermediary, that could represent their interests before the administration of enterprises, particularly in crisis situations. One of those mediators could be new trade unions.
