The article deals with the comments and remarks made by epic narrators during the performance of byliny. One of the features of bylyna is the aspiration of performers to maximum possible completeness and clarity of the narrative, reaching up to obvious excessiveness, this puts it on par with some other texts with developed narrative. Referring to Ukrainian Dumas, Russian mythological prose or Russian fairy tales, we can see both lapidary texts and, on the contrary, extremely distributed due to all the same informational completeness and exhaustiveness. This informational completeness is characteristic also for some epic texts. The article deals not with epic or genre poetic features but with the material as such.
