The current state of energy security in Russia’s regions

The article examines the issues of energy security. The historical prerequisites for the emergence of this scientific field are given, the stages of the formation of the concept of energy security are described, the main elements and mechanisms of energy security formation accepted in the world, the essential definitions of this concept are given, the threats under consideration are highlighted and the methods of their neutralization are described. A brief overview of domestic approaches to the description and assessment of energy security is given, and the key threats identified by researchers are presented. A brief description of the author's methodology for diagnosing energy security by the main monitoring blocks is given, and the main threats identified by the methodology are briefly described. The results of diagnostics of the current state of the Russian regions are given, the identified key threats are described, and the regions with the most unsafe state are indicated. The main measures and measures in the branches of the fuel and energy complex are formulated to increase the energy security of the region.
