This article presents an analysis of the stability and therapeutic approaches to the treatment of purulent wounds, emphasizing the importance of integrating surgical and conservative methods to enhance treatment effectiveness and reduce the likelihood of complications. The primary objective of the study is to optimize the drainage of purulent-inflammatory processes in the floor of the mouth, neck, and mediastinum, as well as to improve local medication therapy. Within the framework of the study, 15 patients with mediastinitis who received appropriate treatment were observed at the Maxillofacial Surgical Clinic of the Osh Interregional Unified Clinical Hospital from 2020 to 2024. All patients underwent surgery for the external incision and drainage of the purulent-necrotic focus using our modified technique described in KR Patent N 1876, "Methods for Incision of the Floor of the Mouth and Neck." The results of the study highlight the importance of accurate diagnosis of the etiological factors of mediastinitis and the selection of adequate surgical interventions and local medication therapy, which undoubtedly influence clinical outcomes and the overall condition of the patients.
