Relevance of direct laser growing method in additive manufacturing. Processing technologies

Бесплатный доступ

The article discusses the method of obtaining blanks by direct laser growing, as well as existing post-processing technologies for the resulting blanks. Direct laser growing is a type of additive technology, or rapid prototyping technology. The process is based on laser cladding of metal supplied in powder form. The resulting products are used in shipbuilding, energy and transport engineering, the rocket and space industry, medicine and aviation. Critical parts are subject to increased requirements for accuracy, strength and service life, therefore, use in components and assemblies is possible only with subsequent processing, limited by the features of additive manufacturing.
