Topical aspects of studying the regulatory framework for medical rehabilitation in the continuous medical education system in the Kyrgyz Republic

Continuous medical education system of Kyrgyzstan covers medical practitioners, as well as financial and human resources specialists of health care organizations, who use regulatory documents related to rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, in their regular activities. These issues are studied at the interuniversity department of medical law and medical and social expertise at the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute of Retraining and Advanced Training. The steady growth of disability rate and increasing need in rehabilitation services stimulates the introduction of key regulatory documents from the national legal package into continuous medical education curricula. The authors demonstrate the demand for and relevance of legal knowledge courses with the inclusion of regulatory acts on disability rehabilitation, and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health.
