Actual approaches to the definition of the phenomenon of “scientific reputation” of a modern researcher

An attempt was made to draw the attention of the scientific community to the discussion of the phenomenon of “the reputation of a modern researcher”. Based on the analysis of various points of view of domestic and foreign scientists, executive authorities that regulate the activities of the education system, the definition of this concept is formulated for its further use in the process of managing research activities. The factors influencing the formation of a scientific reputation are determined, a system of state and local measures to improve the status of a researcher in the Russian Federation is proposed.
