Actual problems of the institution of suspension of criminal proceedings

The article analyzes the structure of the legal institution of suspension of proceedings in a criminal case, concludes that it has four independent subinstitutions; examines the grounds and conditions for suspension of criminal proceedings. Attention is drawn to the addition of three new conditions to the system of General conditions for suspending a preliminary investigation, which are reflected in parts 6, 7 and 8 of article 208 of the criminal procedure code of the Russian Federation.
