Current problems of the appointment and production of a forensic-botanical examination with the use of dendrochronology, environmental examination methods and the ways of their solution

One of the topical issues of forensic activity is the development of new and improvement of traditional methods for the production of examinations, which will expand the possibilities of examinations and thereby establish the circumstances that are important for the detection and investigation of crimes. The article is devoted to the introduction of dendrochronology methods into expert practice, as well as to the issues of appointing an environmental review. The authors have identified some problematic issues that do not allow full use of all the possibilities of examinations in the investigation of illegal logging of forest plantations and other crimes where wood is the object of research, and suggested possible ways to solve them.
