Actual problems of evaluating the effectiveness of social support in Russia: federal and regional aspects

The article is devoted to the issues of the effectiveness of the provision of social support measures in Russia. The concept of "efficiency" is specified, and the existing definitions of this concept are compared and analyzed. The analysis of budget expenditures on social policy and the assessment of the impact of changes in the volume of budget expenditures in the direction of increase on the effectiveness of the social support measures provided. The necessity of developing indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of social support measures is revealed. The review of innovations related to digital transformation in the social sphere is carried out. The article considers the possibility of evaluating the effectiveness of providing social support measures in the field of employment by introducing an indicator - the percentage of replenishment (replacement) of the lost income of each family member. The directions that contribute to improving the effectiveness of the provision of social support measures are identified.
