Current issues of recognizing a transaction as invalid as a way of protecting civil rights

The article considers such a way of protecting civil rights as recognizing a transaction as invalid, application of consequences of its invalidity, its essence and function. The notion of a transaction, its obligatory conditions as well as an issue of plaintiff's good faith are revealed in recognizing a transaction as invalid. The special attention is paid to the analysis of the legal grounds of recognizing the invalidation of transactions which do not comply with the law or other legal acts. The recommendations aimed at improving the legal regulation in this area are given.
