Actual problems of countering motor vehicle crimes committed by drivers of vehicles in a state of intoxication

The article discusses the current problems of countering motor vehicle crimes committed by drivers of vehicles in a state of intoxication. Based on the analysis of statistical data, legislative acts and scientific publications, the main causes and conditions contributing to the commission of these acts are identified. Special attention is paid to the effectiveness of the current criminal legislation, as well as to the problems of law enforcement practice. Measures are proposed to improve the system of prevention, legal regulation and practical counteraction to such crimes.
