The article discusses the current problems of disclosure and investigation of terrorist crimes in the digital age, when information technology is becoming an integral part of not only everyday life, but also skillfully used by criminals in the course of illegal activities. Statistical indicators of terrorist crime for 2023-2024 are presented. The author analyzes the forms and methods used by terrorist organizations, including the recruitment, financing, planning and implementation of terrorist acts through the use of information technology. Special attention is paid to the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies, including the anonymity of criminals, the use of cryptographic technologies and the difficulties in collecting digital evidence. The article highlights the need to adapt legal, organizational, and methodological approaches to modern realities. The author examines key aspects of the problem, such as insufficient training of law enforcement officials, gaps in legislation, and the need for international cooperation to effectively counter cyberterrorism. The paper also discusses proposals to improve educational programs for law enforcement officers, create specialized units, and develop new technological solutions for monitoring and analyzing Internet traffic. Attention is paid to the classification of terrorist crimes committed using information technology. The author analyzes various approaches to terminology used in scientific literature and regulatory legal acts. In addition, the article examines the essence, similarities and differences of information, information and communication, telecommunication and digital technologies. In conclusion, the author concludes that solving the problems of uncovering and investigating terrorist crimes in the digital age requires an integrated approach, including improving legislation, developing technological tools, improving the skills of law enforcement officials, and strengthening international cooperation. The article is of interest to experts in the field of criminal law, criminology, cybersecurity, as well as to practicing lawyers and law enforcement officials involved in countering terrorism and cybercrime.
