Actual problems of implementation of public policy in education (on the example of st. Petersburg)

Based on official statistics, the article analyzes the directions of the implementation of state policy and the development trends of the education sector in Russia. Actual problems of the sphere of education are considered, special attention is paid to the impact on the development of the human potential of youth on the example of St. Petersburg, and ways to solve the problems identified are proposed.
