Current problems of realization of the constitutional right to health care and medical assistance

This article deals with the actual problems of realization of the right to protection and medical care enshrined in the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The author analyzes the contradictions between legislative guarantees and practical implementation of the above-mentioned constitutional right. In particular, the author focuses on commercialization of health care, underfunding of the industry, inconsistency of federal and regional sectoral legislation. The necessity of improvement of normative-legal base and mechanisms of realization of constitutional rights of citizens in the sphere of health care is emphasized.
