Actual problems of the jury in the Russian Federation

The article is devoted to the analysis of topical problems of the jury in Russia. This article attempts to answer the question of why the institution of jurors is not so often used in judicial practice in criminal matters in the Russian Federation. Is it possible to solve the problems that exist at the moment and make the institution of jurors more effective. Also, the article makes an attempt to predict the future development of the institution of jurors in Russian legal reality. The distinctive features of the jury trial in Russia and other countries in which this institution is more widely applicable are revealed.
