Current trends in Russian policy

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the work of the Second Congress of the Russian Society of Political Scientists, discloses a wide range of political issues being discussed at the congress, and mentions some reports and presentations made at the plenary session, sections and round tables of the Congress. Particular attention is paid to the round table «The Political Construction of the Future», which participants pointed out that in the foreground the Russians have universal values, such as security, rule of law, and in the background - ideological ones. According to the authors, the meeting of the section «Ethno-political Processes in Modern Russia» was very informative; the participants discussed various problems of implementation of the state national policy of the Russian Federation, and ethno-political and religious processes in different Russian regions. At the end the resolution of the Second Congress of the Russian Society of Political Scientists was presented, in which the priority tasks on the near future were identified.
