The article discusses current issues and prospects for the innovative development of industrial technologies in modern conditions of the global world market and the implementation of the concept of the fourth industrial revolution. The purpose of the study is to identify patterns of development of industrial technologies in modern conditions, and in the development of methodological tools for managing organizational and technological innovations, based on the identified trends. Results obtained: The authors of this article analyzed trends in the innovative development of industrial products using the example of household refrigeration equipment. The volume of production of household refrigeration appliances is compared with the number of households in the United States and their real incomes, as well as with the number of manufacturers of household refrigeration appliances, statistics on the energy efficiency of refrigeration appliances and the average price of the product are analyzed, and a tendency towards the predominance of “fast” investments in innovative developments is revealed. A relationship is assumed between the final cost for the consumer and the volume of output with the growth of the maturity of basic innovations, which ultimately leads to the predominance of pseudo-innovative innovations in the general and innovative portfolio of the company. The authors propose methodological tools for managing organizational and technological innovations to obtain the best result in terms of "price/quality" parameters, which will free up resources for the development of basic innovations.
