Current issues qualifications of encroachments on digital financial assets

The informatization of society and the development of technologies entail a constant change in the existing means of data exchange, the emergence of new technical and legal instruments, each of which goes its own way of development from the new, incomprehensible, complex to the ordinary, everyday and accessible. New phenomena of this kind are gradually gaining regulatory consolidation, being integrated into the system of current legislation, depending on the attitude of the state towards them.One of the absolute innovations of the modern information society are cryptocurrencies and crypto assets. However, to date, these phenomena have not received proper regulatory regulation in our country, which entails a large number of problems related not only to the control of the activity in question and its taxation, but also to the «criminal» component of this issue, since cryptocurrencies and crypto assets can and often become the subject of criminal encroachments, and as a means of committing a number of crimes. In the article, the author examines certain issues of qualification of acts in the field of encroachments on digital financial assets.
