Topical issues of the organization of monitoring drug situation at the present stage

The article considers the legal and scientific basis for monitoring the drug situation; assessment of drug situation in the Russian Federation is given. The author defines criteria and characteristics of drug situation in the Siberian Federal District in 2012, as well as recommendations on organization and implementation of drug situation monitoring taking into account the results of the sociological research.
