The article deals with the contemporary mathematical education of children, in particular, prevention of dyscalculia of the preschool and primary school age children. The paper highlights the problems of diagnosing and prevention of the numeracy disorders among children of this category. The author presents stages, areas and content of the speech therapist’s work aimed to prevent dyscalculia of children with severe speech disorders in the conditions of the educational institution.
