Альфа-1-кислый гликопротеин является одним из важнейших представителей так называемых «реактантов острой фазы воспаления». В то же время его функции в норме и патологии остаются не вполне ясными. В настоящее время вновь отмечается рост интереса к альфа-1-кислому гликопротеину со стороны ряда исследовательских групп. Данная работа является попыткой обобщения и систематизации информации, имеющейся за период с 70-х годов прошлого века и по настоящий момент.
